When I was testing the new hopper block I placed a chest next to the hopper. (I was making a chicken farm with lots of chickens.) When I opened the chest it only plays the open and close sound for a millisecond. This also happens without the hopper connected to it but when I go far away from the chicken sounds the chest sounds went back to normal. Im not sure if this applies to all mob sounds. |

Well, this sounds like it might be a problem with mass mobs. Usually game sounds will cut each other out when there's a lot of noises. e.g. making any noise near a cow farm would cut out similarly to how you described above. |
