Update - I also created a bug demonstration video available here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQlSnJtLUNc Steps to reproduce:
You'll notice something like in the screenshot "light-emission-bug.png": The light emission was correctly updated for all repeaters that have been located in loaded chunks when the wire got powered. (Like the right repeater in the screenshot.) It was not correctly updated for all repeaters further away. (Like the left repeater in the screenshot.) This ticket relates to |

Okay? Just curious: Why do newer ticket "win" over older tickets as being the duplicated (not: duplicat*ing*) ticket? |

Is this still an issue in the most recent versions (currently that is 1.10.2, or 16w42a) of Minecraft? If so, please update the affected versions and help us keeping this ticket updated from time to time. |

I can confirm this issue also occurs with redstone lamps that are triggered remotely (either by a long redstone wire, or using the Craftbook-provided transmitters and receivers). The opposite is true as well: a lamp that is switched off remotely keeps emitting light even while its texture indicates that it shouldn't be doing that. After hitting the lamps a few times with a bare hand, the block seemed to update and started to emit or no longer emit light. However, this does not always work. Server version: 1.8.1 |

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.8.1 Prerelease 3 / Launcher version 1.5.3 or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. |
