I have a kennel with about 10 wolves in my minecraft house. When I leave and travel a decent distance away sometimes all of the wolves will teleport to me. This is quite cumbersome.. As a side note, the constant barking even when they're sitting is annoying. Making them only bark when sitting when a mob or other player is 10-20 squares away would make them very useful, like real dogs. |

Still happens. (1.11.2) |

Happens for cats in 39b snapshot. |

I recently realized that at least in the 1.7 snapshots, a sitting puppy will almost-consistently teleport to me when it grows up. I'm not sure if that was happening in 1.6.2. |

This still occurs - with both tamed dogs and cats - in 1.6.2, SMP. Sitting cat will randomly teleport to me when the cat's chunk is loaded; Intermittent, but repeatable. |

This is not fixed – not as of 1,5, and I have just experienced it on 1.6.1 . If this is "intended", I seriously question the dev's judgement. This time it was just one dog, but in the past I've had pretty most of my pack transferred to the distant continent I was exploring. |

This still happens. Calling it "resolved" is a joke. "This is an intended feature used to enhance dogs following you" This doesn't enhance anything. If I tell my dog to stay, he should stay, not randomly teleport next to me when I don't want him to. |

No response on querry, unable to reproduce, assuming fixed. |

This is an intended feature used to enhance dogs following you; if you go to far it will teleport them so that you do not have to wait for them to come and avoid getting lost. |

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. |

I had it recently in 1.4.4. Haven't noticed it in 1.4.5 but I haven't played enough to say. |

Please confirm if this issue still occurs in the latest version. |

I've been experiencing this bug for a long time, and I just had it happen in 1.4.2 when I entered my base via Nether portal. (In case it turns out to matter, my wolves are on floors which have empty space below them, i.e. 1 block high.) |
