 Description

I was checking new snapshots when I read about 13w09b which got an /effect command. I always test snapshots on my small server. I decided to try it and it worked. And then I decided to make command block with /effect command in it. I placed it, wrote /effect 4ty 5 60 1 (so I would have strength II for 1 minute), but it didn't worked. Then I replaced 4ty with @p (so closest player would have strength II for 1 minute) and it didn't worked again. And then I decided to do the same in singleplayer and it worked.

Same results as Kumasasa in 13w11a. Resolving.

Kumasasa, first I was getting it, but then I enabled them. It wasn't working anyway. To check, I changed command to "/give @p 1 1", gave a redstone signal and I got 1 stone.

Can not reproduce on Server.
You don't get the message "Command blocks not enabled on that server" ?

Appologies, I did not try this in SMP but as above it should work; if I get a chance I could test this on my SMP server

Note I haven't tried this myself but SMP is now within SSP so logically all multiplayer bugs (maybe except those involving latency or other players) should be in single player so running as server shouldn't make a difference

Michael F, have you did it in SSP? This is SMP bug only.

Cannot reproduce.
What do you mean with "didn't work" ?

On the second try was it "/effect @p 5 60 1" you tried in the command block? I have just tried this and it worked both in the command block and in chat.
