Sometimes when you sprint off 1 or 2 blocks, you randomly take 1-3 hearts of damage. What I expected to happen was...: What actually happened was...: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Find a 2 or 1 block drop (No proof sorry I can't record) |

So you're saying it will be fixed in 1.4.3? That's great news, thank you. |

Thanks for the update, Jeb! |

The bug was caused by the old "suffocation when touching walls" fix. We've fixed both bugs now. |

@dieval Haven't exactly followed mobs around and haven't noticed any of my farm animals disappearing. So I assume not. |

Does this happen to mobs? |

Also experiencing this myself. First noticed in 1.3.2, continued in to 1.4.2, but possibly a little less frequently. Happening in single player. Not tested in multiplayer. (CPU load often hits 100%, might be related to some sort of internal "lag") |

I can also verify that this still happens in 1.4.2. I first noticed this as a rare occurrence on bukkit servers in 1.3(.2) don't recall the same in a vanilla server and assumed it was a bukkit bug. With the release of 1.4.2 it is a very common occurrence on vanilla SMP servers while only uncommon in vanilla SSP. It is so random that I can't provide any information other than what is already known. |

Thanks for the feedback, and hope this can be resolved soon. |

I can confirm this on both local and online, and sprinting is not necessary to experience this bug. I have a more detailed explanation here: https://mojang.atlassian.net/browse/MC-609. This is also available under "Issue Links". It's bad enough online, that when under the effects of "Jump Boost II", you can take damage just from jumping straight up and down. I hope that the confirmation status can be changed soon, so that this may begin to be resolved. |

I also experienced this locally in 1.3.2. But it was only a half or whole heart. |

i can confirm this happens locally too, and without sprinting. it almost seems as if the minimum height for fall damage was reduced from 4 to 3, so standing on a 2 block high tower, and JUMPING off will give half a heart of damage, also if i stand on a 3 block high tower and just WALK off, then i take a half heart of damage. |

Erm, not exactly sure what you meant by that, but it happens in both single player and multiplayer. |

My guess would be remotely on a far away server, I had this issue in 1.3, it was fine when the server was in the US(where I am), but when it was moved to Europe, I had issues with it, although 99% of European servers are fine for me, wierd. |

Playing locally or on a far away remote server? |
