I'm using a hosting service to run my server (not on this computer itself) I've been running my server smoothly for about 2 weeks when all of a sudden the server would freeze every now and then (would freeze sooner with more people). To be more specific as to what is happening upon server freeze, breaking blocks would not show the cracks in the texture and would drop nothing, players and mobs would appear frozen, but people could still move although others cannot see any movement. Running commands in the console would not work, and I have to restart my server just for it to work again. The people who play on my server are either running on iOS or Windows 10, and I noticed that the server runs smoothly when I play alone. I also noticed that the server tends to freeze when both iOS (1.16.50) and Win10 (1.16.40) players are connected but it may be a coincidence. I have tried everything from resetting the world and all the server files to even getting my node transferred, and it still freezes after quite some time. One thing I may note is that my memory usage is abnormally high on my server, reaching about 30% even though nobody is on whereas a few weeks ago it would only reach about 15% with 10+ people online. I tried sorting this out with support from my hosting provider, but they were unable to solve the issue. Thanks! |

Unfortunately without more information about the platform the server provider is running its unlikely we can do much to help. I'm happy to run your server on a test box and see if I'm able to reproduce. I've not seen any similar reports though so this may be a technical issue on your providers side. |

Is the server running in Linux? If so, this is a duplicate of |
