 Description

Bug

Villagers are not breeding even when all the prerequisites are met. This only happens on BDS generated worlds.

How to recreate
1. Create a BDS server and let it generate the world

2. Try to get villagers to breed

I can't attach a world file, but I gave the villagers lots of bread, workstations, and enough beds to breed. I also traded with them to increase their happiness. There were no hostile mobs nearby, and no villagers were harmed or killed within the last few hours. Mob griefing is on, and they are definitely picking up the bread, I even made them farmers because I thought that would help. They don't even throw food at each other.

I had add-ons on the world, but they were not the problem. I deleted the world from the "worlds" folder and made sure that the new world didn't have any add-ons. Once again, they did not breed, or throw food at each other.

I'm not able to reproduce this so either the reproduction steps are more specific than what you have detailed or its specific to a certain setup.

For reference I:

  1. Downloaded a fresh copy of BDS (1.16.40.02 at time of test)
  2. Unzipped and started the server
  3. Connected from a client
  4. Switched the player to creative (only change from default)
  5. Placed 3 beds and 3 workstations
  6. Spawned 2 villagers
  7. Threw them a stack of carrots

They immediately got the love hearts and shortly after my 2 villagers were 3.

I would suggest testing this with a brand new download of the BDS files with no changes and see if you are still able to reproduce. If you can, provide exact steps so someone else can test.

The server is running on a Windows 10 computer with 2.3GHz dual core processor and 4gb ram.
