 Description   

Hi. I noticed that mobs and other players were disappearing from my view too close to me, and after some research it seemed to be related to "simulation distance" (tick-distance setting). So I doubled it from 4 to 8 and restarted the server, but players kept fading out after the same distance. Could I be doing something wrong or was it really supposed to work? Thanks

Hi Leandro,

Tick distance is the distance at which redstone ticks, crops grow etc. The rendering of entities is seperate and is not configurable.
