My world is 2 years old and over 50mb in size, and its running on a server obviously and its a bit unstable as it sometimes crashes when flying with an elytra for no apparent reason, i dont know if that has anything to do with the problem but i'll mention it anyway.

I'm not able to reproduce this. I've flown through the portal over and over again at different speeds and have not been able to crash it.

Does this happen if you create a new world?
