According to support this problem is due to a bad download.
Quote: βThe black and pink means the game canβt find that texture. Unfortunately if the user has a bad internet connection, it may take multiple tries of downloading the pack before the user gets a download that works because the file size is so big.
If the user has ADSL, it could take 20 or more tries, unfortunately. Downloading on those lines is particularly bad for games, speaking from experience.β
The solution is to delete the texture pack from your storage (under settings) and then redownload it from the store.
Please launch the Minecraft app and try this:
- Go to settings
- Go to Storage
- Select Resource Packs
- Select the affected pack -> then press the trash can
- Redownload the affected pack from the Marketplace
