 Description

When starting Bedrock's 1.14.60.5 server and creating a LAN game, if the players don't connect to their Microsoft account the player's name is always Steve. Instead on the server console if it shows the correct name.

Steps to reproduce the problem:

  1. Configure the server.properties option "online-mode = false".
  2. Run the server.
  3. Disconnect the Microsoft account on the client.
  4. Set your own name in the profile.
  5. Access the created LAN server.

As can be seen in the images, the player's name is always shown as Steve.
On the other hand, in the server console it does recognize the profile name correctly.

Tested with Windows 10, Android and IOS.

In previous versions it worked correctly. Attached file server.properties and images of the error.

I'm having this same problem. Using Bedrock Server 1.14.60.5 on Windows 10. I'm using Windows 10 and 3 Kindle Fire tablets.

The local skins work fine, but all player names show up as Steve iterations. The names show up correctly in the server console when players join and leave the server. None of the profiles are logged in to an Xbox account.

I am having the issue with names displaying as iterations of "Steve" as well.  However, the locally defined skin (through Character Creator) is preserved on the server and displayed correctly to other clients connected to the server.

Using Bedrock Server 1.14.60.5 on Windows 10, connecting with clients on Windows 10.

This issue seemed not to occur until after I logged in and out with XBox account on Windows 10, while I was trying to figure out how intercepting DNS would work to allow a Switch to connect to the LAN server.

@IonicEcko, for me it does, other LAN players also show up as Steve(2), Steve(3) etc. (also if they choose Alex's skin).

Does this also affect the skin that shows for the other players?
