 Description

you need to authenticate to microsoft services minecraft

The error above just started after the latest update, i have signed out and back in to my xbox/ microsoft account if i set the online mode to false i can join the server while playing on lan but once i try to acess the server from ouside that error comes up. It has not happened before, and it happens on all devices i try to use to connect to the server, however i can still connect to the other featured servers.

I'm having the same problem, but I am on mobile, and I can't log on to any server or realm. Can I receive help?

after spending hours today trying to fix this problem, it turned out to be the time issue for me as well. thank Ionic!

this error message needs to be changed, it has literally nothing to do with the problem, or at least have a list somewhere that says what possible causes are. i found a bunch of posts where dozens of people are running into this problem and seemingly nobody has answers

Hi IonicEcko,

Thanks for the tip, the issue was the time settings, once I set it to automatically detect time and time zone it worked again.

Hey Jesus,

Just to cover off the basics, have you tried running the server by right clicking the EXE and clicking "run as administrator"? Another (very unlikely) cause of this error is incorrect time settings on your PC.

Beyond that, do you have any DNS blackholes in use on your network (such as Pi-Holes) or are you on a network that could be restricting access to certain URLs?

Ionic
