So.. I built a nether portal to the nether, I encountered a lots of Ghast, what happened is, when I was hit, almost died, I went to the portal again to return because I was about to die, then a Ghast shot a fire charge at me & at the exact time, when the screen showed 'Building terrain' I heard the explosion of the fire charge at the exact time, so I moved & I was stuck, I was like "Wait what?! There are no walls behind the portal!" Then I moved sidewards & saw a new portal appeared to the side of my original portal (Portal with the cobblestone frame) & I was shocked when I saw two portals. |

Hey, this glitch is still occurring on Bedrock Multiplayer (v1.21.30). Not only survival but creative. This recently happened to a friend, however, the glitch only consistently occurred to players who weren't the owners of the world. The issue is very much unresolved. Steps to Recreate The Problem:

i think the ghast ball traveled and hit your portal breaking it, so when you went though the one in the nether i think it made another portal because there was no portal lit on the other side |

I just experienced something similar. v1.14.30 Multi-player iOS. One player heads down to the Nether through a portal that's been in use and working as expected for months. When the player gets to the nether, the portal is no longer active/lit. Player in the nether calls to another player, who inspects the Overworld portal and finds it active/lit. Overworld player goes through the portal. Player in the nether watches as a new portal is created about ten blocks away from the original one. Both players are then able to return to the Overworld, and the original Overworld portal and the new Nether portal remain linked, working as expected. I would have liked to have tried to re-light the original Nether portal, to see if that would reestablish the link, but the players didn't think of testing that before accidentally creating the second Nether portal. |
