 Description

This may be a case of a company trying to "encourage" users to use their heavily monetized walled gardens, but it should not be as difficult as it is to use a locally hosted bedrock server. I have small children I would like to play with in a virtual sandbox without having to pay subscription fees or dealing with random strangers. This is not a massive ask as the local play option has been present in Java edition for some time and requires even less integration with various authentication mechanisms for all those extraneous accounts (PSN, Microsoft, Nintendo, etc). How about fixing this bug by re-adding the option to connect to a specified IP?
