 Description

For some strange reason my Minecraft bedrock server is no longer starting, it used to work fine for months but just randomly stopped earlier this week and I can't get it to work again

this is truly frustrating because I can't seem to isolate what the problem is, I've even reinstalled the Ubuntu desktop OS to see if that would help, but it didn't. Also when I try to use terminal to start it up that doesn't work either.

Is this still an issue in the latest version (1.17.11)? If so, can you please add it to the affected versions (or mention it if you are not the reporter).
This ticket will automatically reopen when you reply.

and when I attempt to manually start it it says things like "permission denied" and when elevated to administrator privileges with sudo in terminal on Ubuntu it reports "command not found".

But I started it in the same folder the application was in.

and it doesn't even come with the proper files anymore, comes with some daft file called "makefile" that wasn't there before. It has been updated to version 16.221.01 and it still doesn't work, Mojang should really test their software before releasing them, not just dole out newer versions haphazardly.

I've since began using Shockbyte, I don't like this though, it's not Shockbyte that's the problem, it's the wasted time, and money on setting up a separate PC for the bedrock server.

I have the same problem. I have two Dedicated Dell Linux Servers and they won't start. I have a java server and it works fine. just being affected on my bedrock servers. when i run ./start.sh and do status on the service all it shows is this. Both of these servers have worked for over a  year just started happening.
