I have walked out to find a newly generated village after upgrading to BDS 1.12.0.28. The village has no villagers. Villagers are still present in villages that existed before upgrading the server. I seem to recall this has happened in previous versions of BDS server, but had been corrected. Maybe this is a bug that has "come back from the dead"? I am connecting from iOS Minecraft 12.0

Cleaning up old tickets: This ticket had been set to 'Awaiting Response', but has not received a response from the reporter (~3 months+) so is being closed as Incomplete. If you feel this is still a valid issue then please comment, or create a new ticket following the Issue Guidelines which includes steps to reproduce the problem. Quick Links: |

If you have a way to reproduce feel free to provide detail reproduction steps in the comments but it doesn't sound like your issue is the same. Villagers were spawning (as evidenced by the farmer). Its important to note that at any time that the village is loaded, villagers can be killed by mobs so if the villages are nearby while you do other work it can give hostile mobs time to kill the villagers. Any reproduction steps would also need to be specific to BDS for it to be a valid BDS bug. If its possible in Singleplayer/Multiplayer as well it would be a game bug instead. |

I think I might be experiencing this issue as well. I'm running a BDS in ubuntu. There are 2 villages within running distance if the spawn point. The closer of the two had a farmer, but no other villagers or iron golem. The further one has no villagers at all, and two horses in a barn. The server was installed and setup yesterday, 15 May 2020. Does there need to be something like "spawn-npcs=true" in the server properties file? |

I've not heard back from you in a while. In order to keep the Bedrock Dedicated Server project running smoothly I'm going to request this issue be closed as Awaiting Response. Never fear though! If this is still affecting you in the latest version (and is related to Bedrock Dedicated Server and not the Minecraft Bedrock game) all you have to do is comment and it will reopen. If your issue does still exist but is related to the game and not the server software please head over to the Minecraft (Bedrock codebase) project. Ionic Quick Links: |

Hi Mark, Did this get sorted? I've not seen it in any of the latest versions of BDS. To address the comment too, I've taken up helping out in the BDS section so you should see affected versions coming across to here now (and a closer eye on bug reports to keep it a tad cleaner Ionic |

Please add newest BDS versions to the bug tracker so we can select the under "Affects Versions". |
