Minecraft Realm not saving

      My friend's MC realm stopped saving around April 15th at 8:50pm even though we were still playing. I finally logged off around April 16th 2:45am and when I went to check this morning it had rolled back the world to the 8:50pm save. Why does this happen and is there any way to recover the work?
