since the latest 1.18.3 update on Bedrock Realms, a players hungry drops very quickly once the first hungry drumstick has been lost.  In non realms you can bounce 140 times before you lose the seconded hungry point, on a Realms server this happens after 30 bounces !

Thus making you need to be constantly eating to replenish your hungry.
