We have a household where 4 play together on a private wifi using a combination of Android and iPad/iOS devices. Player #1 (android) has a world that we've been working together on and lately player #2 (iOS) can't join the game, instead getting stuck on the "finding server/creating world" dialog box. #2's avatar/character appears in #1's world and the chat/notification for all players in the world states "#2 has joined", but #2's device stays stuck on "finding server". Players #3 (iOs) and #4 (iOS) have no problems joining #1's world. #2 has no issues joining any other worlds (and vice versa), including other test worlds created by #1 - just the primary world that we've all been working on for months. Things that have been attempted: (1) Updating all Android and iOS systems, (2) all up to current Minecraft version, (3) forgetting/re-joining wifi, (4) rebooting all devices multiple times, (5) checking wifi configurations on modem/router, (6) #1 and #2 mutually dropping each other as friends on Xbox Live then re-friending, (7) confirming consistent game settings across all devices. In exploring all the forums and bug reports, it's clear that a lot of people have similar issues but I have yet to see anything recent detailing an actual solution or fix. Would like to avoid having to delete and re-install the game on #2's device as that would then delete all the world's that #2 has created which would be heart-breaking.
