In MCBE beta 1.16.100.53 crops such as bamboo, cactus, sugarcane, but however not kelp now rely on instant ticks rather than scheduled ticks. This appears to be a bug due to the fact that it is not included in the 1.16.100.53 changelog and when outside of sim distance they do not rely on instant updates. This could also lead to instant update crashes if you break multiple of these up to build heights leaving people with random crashes that they don’t understand. This is also disparity with java edition
You can test this by breaking a sugar cane that is multiple blocks tall
Expected result: They break one by one
Actual Result: They all break at once
