When I attempt to play on a world that I have created, every so often after about 10 minutes or so, the game will give me an error and it will crash completely booting me out of the game and back to the Switch homescreen.

Another issue is when I attempt to join some servers (i.e. The Hive) it will start the 'Locating Server' screen and completely freeze up. If music is playing, it will continue to play but I cannot do anything within the game; I cannot press any buttons or cancel the attempted connection to the server. I then try to go to the home menu and close the app and it either goes two ways from there: it attempts to close minecraft but ends with an error message, or the Switch freezes entirely. I will then have to hold down the power button to force the Switch to power off.

In some cases, I won't even have to do anything with the game for it to freeze. On skme occassions, I've just left the app to go to the gallery which doesn't requure you to close the game, and everything just freezes. Here though, I can press the power button to access the power off options
