I cured a naturally spawning villager, and in doing so it gave me discounts. Changed its profession and then broke its workstation (effectively removing its profession) and then leave the world (while it is still a normal villager). Once you return, if you try to give the normal villager a profession it will not have discounts on its prices. Unfortunately, I have no video recording software available for this.
