Items disappear from end spawn platform

I was going to build an endermen farm in the end, and I was keeping my shulker boxes of supplies on the obsidian platform. I knew that this platform used to make things disappear, so I checked mojang and it is marked as a resolved issue, but when I died, everything I had, countless hours of work, was gone. I have been playing this game for as long as it has existed and I have never been so upset with Minecraft. This issue is not resolved.
