So I usually use no view bobbing. Ever since the new update, exclusively the hand moves when it's turned off. It acts as though view bobbing is on but it only affects the hand. This is visible when no item is highlighted on the hotbar, when you use maps, and any other item that makes the hand visible, but as far as I am aware, that is all the items, or lack thereof, it affects.
