When returned from the Nether, light from torches (and possibly other light-emitting blocks) doesn't render correctly.

I returned from the Nether on my survival world (multiplayer (playing with one other person)) and came into my house to find that the torch light was not rendering correctly on my screen. This was not visible to the other player on the world. All of my graphic settings were at their best options, as I usually play, except my render distance, which was 8 chunks. The other player was already in the overworld when I returned.

If there is any other info that would be helpful, I'd be glad to help. A screenshot is attached.
