Whenever you play minecraft, the max players that are able to join are 5. The only way to change this is putting cheats on your world to change the max players but that would end up disabling achievements. Hopefully you guys fix this problem because it used to be 8 players max per world but the nether update changed that which left some of my friends not able to play with us.
