Item frames can not be placed on the same block side where torches or buttons are placed on, nor can they be placed in the same 1 block sized room next to another item frame on a block side next to it.

      Hello,

I would like to report a bug in the new Minecraft Bedrock Edition if it actually is one, hoping it will be changed as soon as possible. It has to do with the abilities and usage of item frames, buttons, and other "decorative" objects smaller than a block.

The problem is the limited placeability of item frames in the Minecraft Bedrock Edition compared to the possibilities of the older Minecraft PlayStation 4 Edition, since you could (or can) place item frames next to each other in 1 block sized space (like in a corner with facing sides) insert in all of them any item and sometimes place them on the same block side where a torch, button etc. Is placed on. You could even place them behind chests or glass panes, next to a wall.

This feature has helped with a few problems about design, added a great variety to ideas and decorational detailing and also made it easier in some item frame related redstone contraptions, which now are only possible in the older Minecraft PlayStation 4 Edition, since the newer Minecraft Bedrock Edition (for the PS4) is not featuring that. The pictures included below are showing the differences.

I also found out that it simply has to do with the hitbox frames of the blocks, since the chest, way smaller than a block, has a hitbox frame like a normal block, which seems to be the case with all placeable objects smaller than an actual block.

Thinking about it, the Bedrock Edition has been seen by many of us PlayStation 4 players as an huge improvement to our PlayStation 4 Edition. And by far now has proven itself (at least for me) to be a true successor for the different, limited experience of the PlayStation 4 Edition thanks to even more features to the core of the game itself. And noone of us has expected an update to the PalyStation 4 experience that great, to be honest.

But there are still some little more things the older PlayStation 4 Edition has that i (and many other players of course) wish to be a direct part of the new Minecraft Bedrock Edition.

      Hopefully you understand reading this.

      Yours truly,

      Ted
