I continued a game that I had created before patch 1.16.0 on survival mode on easy difficulty. On resuming the game there was no EXP or items awarded from killing any type of mob and no exp awarded from successful attempts at fishing. I was only able to obtain exp from smelting, cooking and mining redstone/coal.
