Bit of a weird one to reproduce, but I was zombifying and curing some villagers, and twice noticed that when I return the cured villager to the village, another villager would take over his old job/workstation. The cured villager retains the job, but no longer has a workstation, so can't work to replenish trades.
Maybe this is intentional behavior, but not really sure...
Steps to repro:
- playing in Survival mode
- have a village with at least 1 employed villager and 1 unemployed villager, and no free workstations (so 2 villagers with 1 workstation in a village)
- Put the employed villager in a boat and move them away from the village, and turn them into a zombie (i have a nametagged zombie something like 50-75 blocks away from the village)
- While the villager is a zombie, I believe the workstation now becomes free and the unemployed villager will take the job (couldn't confirm as I wasn't in visual range when it happened)
- Cure the villager and return them to the village. They will still have their old job.
- Now both villagers have the same job, but only 1 can use the workstation. The other can still do trades, but can't work.
Workaround:
If you remove and place the workstation, the 2nd villager will still take the job first, not the cured villager. To work around this, I had to add another workstation of a different type (different job workstation) then remove the original workstation. The 2nd villager will change jobs to the new workstation. Now replace the original workstation and the 1st (cured) villager will take back the workstation and be able to work.
