Every time I craft a cake it disappears from my inventory.

      I have a survival world I made a couple of weeks ago, I play survival with one of my friends. I wanted to place a cake at his house but when I try to craft it, it uses up my materials and the cake disappears from my inventory. Please find a way to fix this.
