This has been an ongoing problem for quite some time. The fact it gives no output is likely due to Android and Console lacking the ability to even SEE the particles emmited by the /particle command. How has this command been in the game so long but hasn't had any polish to it?
Steps to reproduce:
Create a command block chain
Use a particle command anywhere in it
Make the following command conditional upon the success of the particle command
Observe as the conditional block never fires because the particle command is broken 5 updates later.
Results:
Obvious. Particle command fails to give a positive output.
Expected result:
Similar to playsound, it should output "Particle summoned". Not that hard.
Off topic comment:
Apologies if I sound like a bit of a... well... jerk. I've filed many reports on here that either get overlooked, ignored, brushed off as not a bug (even though it was later determined to be a bug not even 2 days after the staff on here determined it not to be), or filed as a duplicate when I was the very first to even report the bug. Please, staff, do your jobs. You aren't paid for us to report bugs in the betas. Mojang hired you for a reason. Follow that reason before I begin exposing this stuff.
