      On java edition: you can hear some ambient sounds when you are on water/oceans or nether that make the game feel more alive. 

      The ones that are under the "loop" category they must play all the time in the oceans and nether. Those sounds don't exist for Bedrock. Neither the other ambient sounds like additions and moods exist for the nether and water.

       

      On bedrock edition:  On water you don't hear any ambient sounds at all. Not even mood sounds (like in caves or in "pre 1.16.210.51" nether).

      On beta 1.16.210.51 most nether sounds were added (with 1.16.210.53 adding them for mobile as well) but it is still missing exactly 16 ambient sounds.

      • Nether Wastes is missing 1 (mood5),
      • Warped Forest is missing 10 (mood 5-9 and creak 1-5) and 
      • Basalt Deltas is missing 5 (ground 4 and active 1-4).
