Villager mechanics are extremely bugged. Here are 3 examples.

      Villagers are not following proper linking/unlinking rules and are remembering professions even after I remove the job site block and haven't traded with them.

       

      Issue #1: I have a villager trading hall with a breeder feeding the hall. It's on an island with the collection system for the breeder 102 blocks away from the breeder itself, and the trading hall 50 blocks away from the collection area. In addition, it's also impossible for the adult villagers to fall into it, meaning only babies can enter the system. That said, these villagers are still linking up to these job blocks at such a distance 102 blocks away. There are 2 composters and 2 cartography tables at the breeder, but is somehow finding enough room for nearly 20 combined villagers to share these sites. These villagers cannot pathfind to the breeder and I've even replaced the beds at the breeder so these villagers shouldn't have any connection to the breeder, yet they are.

      Issue #2: After I transport a villager to the hall (over 50 blocks away from the collection area), the villagers at the collection area are linking up with job sites over 48 blocks away, which is the maximum distance that they should be able to detect a job site. In addition, when I break these job site blocks, the villagers at the collection system are retaining these professions, even though there are no job site blocks anywhere near the area. They have never been traded with, either. Again, these villagers in the collection area cannot pathfind anywhere, as they are encased in glass. This needs fixing.

       

      Issue #3: Villagers also are illogically linking up to the wrong job site blocks, as in my own testing a villager would rather link up to a job site block 30 blocks away than right in front of them. A smaller bug, but it ruins a lot of trading hall designs.

       

      Hopefully someone on the Mojang team notices this bug and can get it fixed. As of writing this, 1.16 is right around the corner and it wouldn't surprise me if they couldn't get this patched in time for the update. If a theoretical 1.16.1 update were to release after this, this needs fixing.
