First noticed fire animation was not working upon updating, then noted other animations had also stopped e.g: Lava and Water flow, lanterns etc. (Particles have no issues)

Uninstalled and deleted all files and upon re-installation continued to have the same problems. Tried with and without textures and on new worlds and the problem has persisted. 

As I have been creating my own texture pack I like to check my recent edits in-world, I noticed paintings are not showing up when placed; figuring this may be an issue on my end I tested the vanilla pack and others and still encountered the same problems.
