I am trying to help my son with Minecraft on the Amazon Fire TV. I have a Fire TV 2.  One critical problem that arises whenever he plays is when he chooses to go into chat/command mode on the game, the virtual keyboard pops up. The bluetooth keyboard that I have will input text into the virtual keyboard.

The problem is that there doesn't seem to be any way to close the virtual keyboard and there's no way for the virtual keyboard to input text or commands into the minecraft command line.  The button on the Fire TV remote that would normally close the keyboard - the back button - doesn't do anything. When the virtual keyboard is active I can select keys and text will appear, but there's no way to transfer that into the game.  For example, I select the arrow key (similar to an enter key) or the back key on the virtual keyboard but nothing happens.

The buttons on the bluetooth game controller operate the game that is in the background behind the keyboard, but there is no button on the bluetooth game controller that will close the virtual keypad (Note - this is not an Amazon branded controller.  Those are no longer available).  There doesn't seem to be any way to map the "back" button from the Fire TV remote onto the bluetooth game controller.

Nothing I do will close the virtual keyboard and I have to quit the game by pressing the home button on the Fire TV remote. This makes the game unusable.
