I'm currently playing in the 1.16.0.58 beta and I went mining with a silk touch 1 pick axe. I used that pick axe to mine some Gold Ore and then I went back to my base. I used a normal furnace and it didn't smelt, so I tried to use a blast furnace and that didn't work either. So now I'm stuck with gold ore and unable to smelt it.
