Android
When opening the Minecraft app on Android after closing it (either in the background or by using the Back button), all settings including the player name, skin and others are reset to default.
This seems to only occur when External storage is being used to store worlds. It can be fixed temporarily by removing the app's Storage permission and then granting the permission back when the app asks upon opening it. Closing the app and reopening it causes this issue to occur again. Edit: All previous settings are restored after granting the Storage permission again for clarification.
I'm on a Note 10 5G (SM-N971N) that is updated to Android 10, One UI 2.1. There are a few old reports from 2017-2018 that's been closed due to the issue not being able to be reproduced, such as MCPE-21478 and MCPE-20484. This bug persists after reinstalling the game and deleting the games folder.
