Using lava, or using Flint and steel... I set a fire on wood like villager house, the fire does not spread or burn up wood block. Same happens with TNT. If lava next to TNT, TNT catches fire on side, maybe fire moves to top, fire does not spread to next wood block or TNT, TNT does not ignite and explode, wood blocks do not burn up.
