Tried this on several maps both the nvidia store maps and a default worldgen world, same results. I restarted the game and tried it again on the same worlds, same result.

Basically, the game runs fine with rtx turned on. However, if you turn off rtx then the game still runs, but the cpu is maxed and gets really hot (maxed at 91 degrees celcius before I assume the cpu thermal throttled itself and I turned rtx back on). However, turning rtx back on immediately makes everything go back to normal.

How I replicated it (and it worked the same every time):

      1. Load into a world using rtx.
      2. turn off rtx
      3. cpu is maxed and hot
      4. turn rtx back on
      5. cpu usage and temps back to normal
