ISSUE: An input lag of roughly 250-300 milliseconds is noticed.
Input lag from both the keyboard and mouse is present.
[Link to Video Demonstration|https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RL_NHjDF5rY]
The lag appears to be globally present (and consistent) throughout the entirety of the game's elements. It persists during game-play, in-game menus, the "esc" menu, and all staring menu screens (including the marketplace).
The length of the lag does not seem to be affected by the context of the game (it does not worsen during game-play).
The lag persists when turning off RTX as well as "Fancy Graphics."
Note:
Updating the NVIDIA driver has significantly improved a previously observed input lag of ~1 second.
Even with the updated driver, the lag is significant (~250-300 ms).
PERSONAL FEEDBACK ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE THAT I HOPE IS HELPFUL:
(Note: I'm giving my unfiltered reaction of the experience in order to try to be helpful and supportive. No entitled anger here. I would love to see Minecraft RTX succeed!!) I am typically a Java Edition player, which has imperceptible input lag. Consequently, Bedrock feels arduously slow and clunky. It is difficult to play for extended periods of time. To me, this version of Bedrock feels like a novel (impressive) demo that I will not return to. I may return to this edition when it is released from Beta to see if the input lag has improved.
In retrospect, I believe the main reason I prefer Java is because of how responsive it is. Bedrock, to me, has in the past felt very smooth, but a little too "heavy." Perhaps this "heaviness" has always been a tiny bit of input lag, maybe ~50-100ms? Maybe there is also some input smoothing that makes me feel less in control of player movement (frustrating for quick builds). If this is the case, I wonder if it is possible to allow players to turn off input smoothing as seen in other games.
