With an empty inventory, be in creative mode and give yourself any potion, then drink the potion.

What I expected to happen:

Player gets potion effect and potion stays in the inventory as the only thing in the inventory

What actually happened:

Player gets potion effect and potion stays in the inventory with an extra glass bottle in the inventory.
