As far as I know when you kill the ender dragon xp should spread about 20 blocks around the portal, but every time i've killed the dragon on switch it always bunches together and always falls in the portal. Tis can get quite annoying in multiplayer worlds fighting the dragon, and often finding the xp is difficult as well
