Fortune Pickaxe Not Working

      My Fortune III pickaxe is not yielding any extra resources. I first noticed it when I only got 4 diamonds from a vein of 4, but thought I was just unlucky. Then I mined more than 10 coal blocks and only got 1 coal each. By the way, I love the rest of the Nether Update, adds some needed variety to a dark and dreary place
