Player 1 enters the OW from the nether, around 20 chunks fail to load properly around the OW portal, it looks like void with x-ray where chunks are loaded. All entities and particles appear when close enough, within the unloaded world. Player 1 enters the nether again and then again returns to the OW and player 1's screen hangs at building terrain screen. For over 5 minutes (the game stopped saving and I quit after so long.)
The same occurs in split screen...
In split screen, player 1 is loaded stood at the nether portal and hangs for a considerably shorter amount of time still facing missing chunks when loading is complete.
Once reloaded after a crash, instead of loading in the nether or at the portal in the OW where player 1 should appear, player 1 is placed inside blocks, or placed stonesthrows away from my portal with different y-levels. My portal frame is 4x3 with vines 1 block in front. There is no way through the other side of the portal it is just stone wall.
If we're lucky, player 1 and 2 can go the the nether, and player 1 has better chances of loading complete terrain with no hang times or closing the application.

The same happens to player 2 too. But chunks aren't loading in different locations to other times.
