I needed to help my wife, so I closed the tablet to save battery while minecraft was still in play
What I expected to happen was...:
I would be able to resume play after reopening tablet

What actually happened was...:
Minecraft was frozen

No matter what keys or icons I hit the game was just completely locked up. I was able to hit my multi window button on my nexus 7 2012 version and I was able to load other apps, close apps and do everything normally.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put a step by step guide on how to trigger the bug here
Simply close the lid on the nexus 7.
