I keep getting a notice that interrupts my game when the world size exceeds 3.1 GB and this only began after version 1.13 update. "You are out of data storage space and Minecraft is unable to save your progress! Minecraft will return you to the Main Menu to clear up storage space." I have determined that this is a limit set by Minecraft that doesn't allow a world data file to be larger than 3.1 GB. I have over 30 GB available on my drive. obviously I can't delete data from my world. when I reopen the world some of the data has been dropped and I can do limited things in the area where I'm at. Right now if I go into the nether it always cuts to this screen in a short time. I also can't travel far from home without it happening, especially with monsters active(not in peaceful mode). My world has been at this 3.1 GB range for a couple months now and has never done this till the recent update. probably because of all the newly added items like foxes, etc. boosting my file size up. if there is a way to safely reduce the overall file size without loosing anything of value, Great. otherwise I believe this is programming issue that needs to be resolved by raising the cap or whatever. I'm not sacrificing my world that I've worked Sooooo Hard on and currently am trapped in a small area because of this issue. Can't even go fox hunting! thanks for your expedient resolution of this issue...
