The bug
Certain blocks are intended to always drop when broken by any explosion (e.g. a creeper explosion). The following is a table comparison:

How to reproduce
- Place several dragon eggs
- /summon creeper
- Let the creeper blow up
→ Some dragon eggs were destroyed without dropping anything
