Enchanted items and anything that glows like an enchanted item don't glow. They all have the flat textures you see on non-enchanted items. This only applies to items in an inventory, chest or hotbar it seems. As the trident in my hand in this image does glow while the one in the hotbar does not 

I now see that the bug has been reported, I do not know how to delete this post so i will just cross out everything
