I have been having this issue consistently since downloading Minecraft during it's tenth anniversary, and it has become increasingly frustrating.

I log on to Minecraft, load up a brand new world, spawn in and start breaking trees. then, in the middle of mining, the screen freezes, flashes white very briefly, and then stays frozen, despite the fact that I can still hear any mob sounds from mobs around me, and in some cases, even the sound of the block I was mining breaking and being collected. The screen remains frozen for a significant period of time afterward, and then eventually the computer realizes that the program has frozen/crashed, and closes it. I do not receive any sort of error message during that time.

There is one other way to make the computer unfreeze, and that is holding down the power button on the computer until the screen goes black, and then turning it back on, signing in, opening Minecraft, and loading up the world again, which opens to my character standing in the exact same position it was in before the crash, and the block I was breaking still in place.

I have tried a couple of solutions like uninstalling graphics driver and installing it again and uninstalling Minecraft but nothing seems to work. No impact on the bug what so ever.

I have continued to experiment with the game crashes, and have found that the game is still running after the screen freezes, as I can still enter the pause menu by hitting esc. and then using the mouse to close the window, which occurs immediately after I click the red x, so I don't think that Windows is having issues. My theory was further proven when I opened Microsoft Edge right after closing Minecraft and Edge ran without any issues. The only other explanation I can come up with is that there is something wrong with something that runs graphics for the game, because the display seems to be the only thing that is affected by whatever is causing this issue. I'm sure that you have come to a similar conclusion, hence the recommendation to update the graphics card, but that unfortunately has not resolved the issue.

This issue has already been covered in other sites such as ''answers.microsoft.com'' but no one has found a solution yet. That's why I upload it here so it can be viewed as a real problem that needs serious actions. I have found a lot of people with the same problem and it seems like there is no fix.
