I found out this bug when I was fishing while being in a boat. I just noticed that my 7.1 headset signaled the splashing sound of throwing the fishing rod from a different direction (left, right, behind, etc.) than the direction I was looking. I found out that, when you're sitting in a boat, it doesn't matter which direction are you looking, the surround sound will always consider the directions bound.
